I figured this out, but can't find how to delete the question.
I simply used TOAST and found I was't choosing "From DVD- Video_TS" This worked perfectly.
Okay, this is getting frustrating. I'm not trying to duplicate a copy protected DVD. I'm simply trying to copy a DVD to share with a friend. I made the original on a Sony +R and it plays fine. I have tried Handbrake, MacTheRipper, disk utility and simply burning the audio_TS and video_TS to another disk. The copy is a memorex. At first I though maybe it was -R and +R issues, but they are both +Rs; the only thing I can think of now is that it is the mfr. I haven't attempted another Sony dub. I wanted to write here first before wasting another disk.
When I try to play the disk in the disk player (NOT the computer), the disk either spins spins spins and nothing happens, or the last burn, where I burned the Audio and Video TS files directly, I get a picture that runs for 2 seconds, stops. Runs for 2 seconds. Stops. The disk seems to plays okay in the computer, but the disk player does not automatically launch. I have to open the disk and choose the Video_TS file, then it plays.
What am I doing wrong?
I am in Snow Leopard.
