Can't erase external USB hard drive.

I have a 500Gb external USB hard drive that I used for TimeMachine before. Now the TimeMachine don't mount, and also I can't repair or erase it from Disk Utility.

Can I use the Terminal to do some force erase of the drive? I don't need that TimeMachine any more.

Did you try another USB cable or does the USB have external power?

Tried another cable. But it's a had disk problem.
