hi when i try to install after step, i get this error (i am logged in as root)
"You must have root password to install AfterStep on systemwide dirs.
(press Ctrl-C to stop - 10 seconds to decide)
loading cache ./config.cache
checking for gcc... (cached) gcc
checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create executables.
Now please run startx to use AfterStep !
Themes are handled from the menu.
A HOWTO can be found at as.themes.org."
