cant listen to the radio

hello.
im stationed in Guam, while i sit at my computer all day i wanted to listen to the radio stations from my home town. they do have an internet feed, but i get this message. MIME type “application/x-mplayer2" can you please tell me how to fix this.

Hi Angie - I agree with VT and SC ... what's the link? We need to see the format in which the station is streaming.

Do you have Flip4Mac installed? If not, it would be a good idea to have it.

Next, download a beaut little app called FStream. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/30135
Once it's up and running, go to your browser and load the station to which you want to listen. Click on the streaming link (you know all that stuff anyway). What's important is to get the url of the stream. Copy and paste it into FStream (File > Quick Open > Open) and you should be enjoying your favorite radio station.
