Can't log into iChat

Get It, BIG MAC! ::ha::
The school I attend is conected to the internet using LAN (whireless) and I want to get into iChat. I know all the port #'s and we conect using HTTPS. The reasion why im not on right now is because there is know whare to put in a password, and I do know the password. So could anyon please help me?

PS:I can log into AIM but I think iChat is very cool LOOKING, thats why I want to use it!

i have the same environment like yours.
i want to be connected to the msn messenger service with msn messenger over a wireless network. it works from a pc but i cant connect with my ibook

but why?
