Can't open Sharing from preferences anymore

I hope somebody can help me with this:
Every time I try to open the Sharing panel from the system preferences, the program quits and sends the message: "The application System Preferences has unexpectedly quit.".

I think this began when I downloaded Security Update 2002-08-23

Any suggestions of how to solve this?

Either grab a copy of the SharingPref.prefpane out of your backup of System>Library>PreferencePanes folder, or
Grab "Pacifist" from somewhere to grab the pref pane off your OS X Install disc, or
Do a full re-install.

Sounds like your prefpane is damaged.

Thanks for the tip.

I thing I'll go the "Pacifist" way because I don't have a backup of the system software and I really don't want to reinstall.
