can't print to my Samsung sf-565 through linksys

Hi, I am a mostly happy owner of a new PowerBook G4 running Tiger 10.4.3. My desktop runs windows xp and my printer is a samsung sf-565p. I am set up wirelessly through Linksys. I am able to file share, and my laptop will read that the printer is there--it will even make noises like it is going to print but then nothing.

if I plug the printer directly into the laptop it will print just fine. I have spoken with Samsung and apple but no one seems to be able to help. I've tried lots of suggestions I've found online, but just can't seem to make it work. Is it hopeless?

Thanks for this great site! Hope you can help me out...

Non-postscript printers require a CUPS driver for network/Windows printing. Samsung doesn't provide CUPS drivers.

The only way I know of to make it print from OS X is an advanced method that requires making your Windows computer a RIP/server. You would use a postscript model choice on OS X, which means you send postscript to Windows, and Windows translates postscript and sends output to the printer.
