cant print

PowermacG4_450

OS X Jaguar
wont let me print. keeps saying printing is stopped. I press continue to restart it, but no luck. ???

trying to print from photoshop 7, no luck.

word X appears to do the same thing.

printing worked fine last time I tried, and ive done nothing different. ?????

This all seems perfectly normal to me! Which means I'm no help.

I'm using an Epson 1290 with the latest printer driver. Printing just stops, same as with the previous drivers.

Fixamac's Print Centre Repair utility sometimes helps, but not very often at all. I usually have to reboot to get the printer connection up again. It seems to go wrong most often when Classic is running (which goes to a different printer).

For now I'm treating it as 'just one of those things', given Epson's moans about OSX not being fully featured in the print department yet.

I thought this CUPS thing was supposed to be the Holy Grail!

if you can't delete the printer, add a new version of it anyways. set that as your default printer (will be in bold), and try to print again.

lol. of all things....

I should NOT mention this here, but its funny. Never done this in my 12 yrs using macs...

IT WAS NOT TURNED ON!
