Can't receive emails

I have 2 AOL accounts linked set up through the Mail icon on my Mac Snow Leopard. Two days ago one of them stopped receiving mail. (I can still receive on my iPhone and directly at AOL.) The next day the second one also stopped receiving mail. Message: imap.aol.com rejected the password for user _______. I had not changed any setup info when I got the message. I've tried providing my passwords (rejected again), re-saving the pwds in my setup, shutting down browser, shutting down computer. No luck. I can send but not receive emails from these two account. Suggestions, please?
 
Just a suggestion, but I would try deleting, then re-creating the accounts. That might entail some archiving/backing up of all emails for re-importation or something, but it also might deal with any corruption of the account that may have occurred. Good luck!
 
Also check your accounts username / password details by logging onto webmail. If you can log into webmail go with StacyC1's suggestion. Good luck!
