Can't view PDFs w/ Adobe Reader 10.1.1

I am running Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I used to be able to view PDFs online w/ just one click. Now, I cannot. These PDFs show up as just black. Adobe's help center says there is a quick fix which is to right click and "save as" on the desktop and then open w/ Adobe. This doesn't always work and it clutters up the desktop. The long term fix was to install the latest Adobe version (which I now have). But this did not fix the problem. Adobe will not help via phone since this is a free application. Any help would be essential for me. Please contact me w/ any further details or suggestions.

Can't help you because I have never had that problem. It might help if you gave a link to your problematic PDFs. Problems with PDFs are usually due to PDFs created using dodgy applications ([cough] Microsoft Office).
