What is the easiest way to convert cassette tape recordings to mp3 files and store in I tunes. The last post I found on this topic was from March 2003. I am running snow leopard on a mac mini.
Does your stereo/cassette player support outputs to an audio interface?
If so, find out what cables you'll need for your particular stereo/cassette player and audio interface and divert your stereo output to your computer audio interface (I have, for instance, an edirol UA-25).
Then it's just a matter of using a piece of software like Audacity to capture the input from your stereo playing your cassette.
This can then be trimmed and edited as needed and exported to mp3 (or another format).
