About a year ago I dropped a guitar on my MacBook Pro, and it just happened to land right on top of my hard drive. I had to replace the hard drive with a new one and reinstall OS X. I installed OS X 10.5 (Leopard) with no issues using the DVD Install Disc. After that, however, I was no longer able to use my CD/DVD Drive. Whenever I insert any disc, it will take it in, then eject it about 15 seconds later.
I've tried cleaning the dust out of it and resetting the PRAM, but nothing worked. Also, the System Profiler still recognizes the drive.
Is there anything else I could try?
