CD-RW Discs? How to get them to work on a Superdrive iMac?

I'm a new Mac user and I am using some CD-RW discs for MP3's. But, I want to remove some songs off of the disc and it won't remove them? What am I doing wrong?

On my former IBM machine, I could drag and drop files on/off of the dics without a problem. The PC would act as if the CD-RW disc was another hard drive. I'd like to be able to do the same with the Mac. I MUST be missing something.

Thanks for any responses.

Oh, I have a 17" iMac with the Superdrive.

The reason that your PC would treat your CD-R/RWs as any other disc is because you were using software known as DirectCD.

Roxio did make a version of DirectCD for Mac, however this was for OS 9. Currently there is no plans (according to Roxio's website) to update DirectCD for Mac to be compatible with OSX.

(However, I did notice that Roxio's website still seems to think that OS X has not yet been released, so plans may have changed or it might be incorporated into one of their toast products)
