Hello everybody,
I need help
Last year I bought a 40x12x48 Teac Cd writer.
I installed it in a PowerMac G3/300 desktop (beige)
I'm still using system 9.2.2 and Roxio's Toast Titanium 5.1.1 recording software.
It worked without flaws until last month. It began aborting the recording of Audio CDs in random places when "Buffer Underrun prevention" was selected. but now it happens in all kinds of recordings (data or audio) at all speeds with or without buffer underrun prevention selected.
I get two kinds of error mesage. The most common being "Connection Unstable" and then a while after I click OK I get "The disc failed to be written".
The second error type is "Error, Sense Key=Medium Error, Sense Code=0x0C, Write Error". I got this error twice.
Note that the "Check Speed" test and the "Simulation Mode" test both came up OK every time.
The last time I tried writing a CD the "Connection Unstable" error showed but unlike other times the disc was not written at all, in fact I used the same disc in other writer in other computer with no problems.
Can anybody help me?
Thank you very much
