Change .AVI movies to .avi in one move?

Hi,

All my family movies are saved on the mac in AVI extension. I just determined, with no help from their support, that Google videos uploaders need to see .avi files to find them and upload them.

I can do this one by one, but could die of boredom in the process.

Can any genius figure out how I can change all 150 movies on my mac in one fell swoop? From AVI extension to avi?

Thanks a lot,

JC

Thanks Eric, though like another user it only unzips an 'action' file. No app opens it.
Thanks either way though.

That's an Automater action file, used by (oh, yeah!) Automater. You just drop files on the action file, and it asks for the new file extension.
Well, that's the concept here, but this one doesn't seem to actually work.

Seems like it would take a lot longer to figure out some app or utility, than simply changing the extension on only 150 files.

But, here's an app you can download that should sort things out in short order!

I'd ask google to allow both files ending in .AVI and in .avi. I almost can't believe that the _case_ should make a difference!
