change keymapping in >console-mode?

Hi all,

does anybody how to change the keymapping after I've logged in directly to the >console from the login-screen? By default it is US-English, but I have a german keyboard.

Apple says the keymapping issues are still in flux. Eventually it will be something HID based, but for now you're screwed.
