Change username (short name)

Running OS X on my brand new PowerBook G4/500 and it works just great! Extremely fast and stable! Thumbs up for Apple and OS X =)

However, do I have to create a new user to change the short name of an existing one?

Lets say I have a user named Big, and I want to change it to Bigger? How do I do this? Is it possible?

change the name value to the new one you want. ... done, save.

There are several things done at the time of account creation to make your life easier though, and changing things like this, after the fact, may make your life harder. You home directory for instance is also named by your short name, you may want to rename your home folder, and then also change your netinfo information to match.
