I have just changed my ISP on my windows 98 machine.
Now I am working on the mac and trying to download a message with Mail but it is not working. The computer is connected to the internet ok and I can see the message in my webmail in Safari but it will not download.
I have changed my account details in mail preferences but obviously I have missed something.
The help file told me to check my network preferences but when I click on that, a dialog box keeps dropping down from the top to tell me "my network settings have been changed by another application" and there is a tab to click "ok". That is all and when I click that, it runs over and over again and doesn't let me do anything else.
I don't know what has been altered but I do not want to alter any settings to my broadband connection because that works fine.
That is the main trouble I have with a mac. When this sort of thing happens, it does not allow me to set any other order.
