Changing the icon of a drive on the desktop

Hi all. I'm new to Macs so be gentle with me! Dual 867 G4 with OSX 10.3.5. I've found some Lacie drive logos on their web site. How do I change the logo of my external Lacie FW drive from the usual yellow drive icon to the spangly new Lacie one?

Highlight the drive icon - do a Command-I on the drive -click the icon in the Info window and paste a new icon. You'll need to Copy the new icon first.

Quick tip: Right after doing the Command I on the drive, hit the tab key, it will go directly to the icon (the icon will be highlighted).

Does anyone know that when you have candybar installed and you have icons changed with candybar that doing the copy and paste thing doesnt work ??? Because it doesnt work for me and i have candybar installed....

Right -- CandyBar doesn't use the old "copy-paste" method to change icons... it actually changes them at the system level, so copy-paste has no effect.

I usually download the icon packs themselves and copy-paste them manually rather than have CandyBar take over...that's just my personal preference.
