Hello there,

I have a mac osx version 10.3.9 IBook G4
I have left this machine plugged in for 2 days and I only get a 34% charge and nothing more. It is less than half charged. I was wondering if someone there could assist me in getting a full charge.

Thank you for any assistance

Batteries go bad after a while. If you're talking about the original battery that came with the iBook G4, then it's probably not surprising that the battery doesn't hold much of a charge anymore.

You can try calibrating the battery, but it may not do anything to help:

I would use up the remaining 34% charge that's left in the battery, then plug in the computer and see if it charges all the way according to the link posted above.

Batteries last anywhere from two to five years, and that's probably about the age of your battery. The best thing to do is purchase a new battery.
