I wanted to know if there are any free chatting programs I can use, so I can use the mic thats inbuilt on my Imac G5 to talk to someone using a pc.

You can use the built in iChat to video conference, or text message with anyone on a PC using WindowsXP and AIM.

Fire and Adium are two multi-protocol IM clients, meaning they can speak to Yahoo, MSN, AIM, and various other IM protocols through one program.

I personally prefer Adium - the great thing is (I think Fire lets you do the same) is that you can be logged into several accounts at the same time (I am, e.g., usually logged into my biz account & my private Yahoo plus my private MSN accounts). And it is freeware.
