Chimera downloading - same folder everytime?

For some reason, each time I download a file using the nightly (2 nights ago) of Chimera, it seems to never remember where I want to download to. One time it will be "Data" (the partition my Users folder is in) or "Documents" in my user folder or "Desktop" the location I WANT it to use and have picked by hand a few times. I just don't get it.

And is there any way to make Chimera NOT use the desktop for the temporary download file? Each time I download a file I get a "lsdkjf923.binary" (or something with a similar name) type of file on my desktop until the file is done downloading.
