I just tested Internet Explorer in OSX 10.2 and OS9 on the same machine ( dual 1GHz G4 1gb RAM ) and the results were that even with my 1mbps cable modem, OSX choked and sputtered on a page with a lot of thumbnails, and the scrollbar would "stick" until all the jpgs loaded in fully. However, in OS9 Explorer was rockin and rollin smooth as butter on the same exact page with no need to load in all the images first. I made sure that the caches and cookies were emptied out before both trial runs.
In addition, along with other minute slow-downs with window resizing, I noticed that there's plenty of times when I get beachballed for 2-3 seconds at a time when trying to close an explorer window.
Is this another known OSX issue or is my brand new G4 skunked?
