Hi,
I looked up on apples support site, and looked at the requirements for installing more RAM. However, when I went to the store, they said that it required a special type, that the kingston brand wouldn't work (the other for apple they were out of). I checked the specs when I got home, and the only difference is the timing. The kingston one was cl=5. On some other estores they state that that memory can be used.
Apple's site doesn't specify what timing it needs, all the other specs meet.
Can I use the other ram, and if so, are there any drawbacks to using the cl=5 timing memory?
Thanks
