Clean istall after 10.3.2 update?

Hi I just have a quick qurestion I installed 10.3.2 on my I-mac.. and now I want to do a reinstall. but it says a new version of the software is installed.! cant i do a clean install? what can I do to reinstall from a CD?

It depends on what kind of install disks you have. Do you have the retail Panther disks? Or do you have the restore disks that came with the computer?

Either way, pop in the CD, reboot and start up from the CD (hold down 'c' when you restart) and then when the installer says you can't install because there's a newer version already on the disk, click the "Customize" (or "Options") button in the lower left. There should be an option there to erase and install. Clean installing this way will completely wipe the drive clean and install a fresh copy of OS X.
