Clean the 360 scroll ball. [opening the mouse]

I've tried everything to clean under the scroll ball of my wired apple mouse, nothing gets under there. I officially can't scroll down or up anymore. Is there a way to open the case and get to the underside of the scroll ball?

Apple recommends holding it upside-down and scrolling vigorously:

I tried that, it still didn't work, so I grabbed a small screw driver, and scratched away the dirt, it works now. Thanks
