Closest alternative for Internet Explorer? Sorry-double post

I'm trying to take courses on microsoft's site and it doesn't work so well on my mac since they built the site to work on internet explorer specifically. What is the closest alternative to internet explorer?

Change teh user agent of whatever you are using to tell you are running Windows with Internet Explorer.
