Closing tabs in Mozilla

I seem to have difficulties closing tabs with the keyboard shortcuts in Mozilla. I use Command-W (or Apple-W if you prefer), and most of the time it doesn't work. Sometimes it does. I just can't figure it out. Has anyone else had this behavior?

Before anyone asks if I'm pressing the keys hard enough, yes, by golly!

Nope, sorry Homer. I just tested 10 tabs. They all closed on the first try. Just control click a tab, and an option to close the tab will come up.

Oh no, I don't have any trouble right-clicking on the tab and closing it from there. It when I try to use Command-W that I have problems.

I know command W is the prob... I am just saying that right-click tab might be your best option right now.

Right. Well, it's nice to avoid using the mouse, but you've gotta do what you've gotta do.
