clustering in osx

hi all,
just out of pure curiosity; i've been wondering whether it would be possible (both theoretically and physically) to cluster machines running osx using programs such as MPICH and/or PVM. Don't take me for someone who knows anything about clustering, but I just think it would be a generally cool sort of thing to do.

Thanks guys,
graham

It was my understanding that it was supposed to cluster right out of the box, but I think delays caused it to be left out. I'm sure eventually it will, sice it is already possible with BlackLab Linux http://www.blacklablinux.com/ It's something I was looking forward to.

I was just wondering, because my school has four g4's that the teacher and a few students (including me) would have fun clustering..

thanks for responding,
graham

HeyThere,

I'm a Linux Admin - so forgive me if I offend in any way!! (Get that out right off the bat...) - but welcome to the *Nix world, have a try - download the Binaries and try to compile/cross compile and see if you can get any result(s)... I highly reccomend this site for new generation *Nix apps..

That seems like something that they'd include in OS X Server... not client.

Any OS X Server folks out there able to add any info?
