CNET and fair judgement?

What on earth is happening to c|net? I want to believe that they are fair but not lately. - I can't understand how c|net don't get it when it comes to evaluate something good. - They are showing their real face towards Apple but again, we know in what side of the table they chose to sit.
Cheers

Hmm, Panther gets a 90% approval rating from user recommendations on that very same page, but he gave it a 6.8 out of 10, which is only "fair". Fair, as defined by their ratings, is "6.0 to 6.9 (Fair): This range represents a product that is dead average for its market. Its strengths and weaknesses balance each other out, making it adequate for most uses but not a standout. If you can find it at an extremely low price, it may well be worth purchasing, but be on the lookout for a better product."

What would he suggest as a better product, Windows? Sticking with Jaguar and not getting the benefit of better speed, Exposé, etc.?
