Codec packs?

Hey I'm trying to play an Xvid encoded movie, I assume the reason why its not working it because I don't have the proper codec installed?

On my PC I use the Defiler or Nemo packs. Is there something similar for Macs?

http://videolan.org/ .. you don't need codecs with that.

or if you want to use QT, get 3ivx http://www.3ivx.com
It will play almost any DIVX/MPG4 variant.
