Codecs, Filters ect?

Are there any codecs filters etc avaidble for the Mac os x?
I'm new here so i don't know if they even are avaidble!
I'm looking for codecs and filters for the video and audio of *.mkv, *.ogg an *.ogm.
Hope somebody can help me :p
 
ogg vorbis plugin for quicktime can be downloaded here

install it and iTunes will play your .ogg files...

Mplayer seems to play ogm and mkv... (google tells me they are both movie formats, is he right? I've never heard of em before)
