OK....I have installed Stalker's Commungate Pro to see if it fit the needs of an organization I am part of, but I have run into a problem. I am not Unix savvy and have never set up an email server. I have everything set up fine, MX and A records, IP addresses registering correctly, but my log has shown two things.
00:01:01.00 1 IMAP failed to start listener on port 143([0.0.0.0]). Error Code=network address (port) is already in use
00:01:56.00 1 POP failed to start listener on port 110([0.0.0.0]). Error Code=network address (port) is already in use
OK, i understand the fact that port 110 and 143 are being used by another app, but how can I find out which one. Sendmail? Apache? I am new to this and a bit clueless. How do I go about correcting this problem. I called Stalker but they said that the log issue is dealing with the System (OS 10.1) not the communigate software, therefore they would be unable to help me. Thank You for your time and help!
