Compress files only in folders?

Hello,

I need some help with how to compress (zip/sit...) all of the files in my document folder, but not the folders. Ie keep the folder structure with compressed files within. When I use stufIt etc I always end up with one large compressed document. This is to be able to synchronize only changed files to a FTP-server without using so much band-width (and because when I do this with uncompressed files I always get FTP-errors. No errors with compressed files).

Any suggestions?

What you need is an Applescript to attach to a folder action. Attach the folder Action script to a folder, drop files in and each would be zipped. Unfortunately, I don't know how to write the script. Maybe someone here will be able to help with that.
