Computer changed my location?

Using MBP 15" OS 10.5.8, with latest updates, the computer changed my location. I now, (according to the computer), reside in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Now I'm sure this is a lovely town, but all my clothes (and my wife), remain in Northern California. When I visit sites, such as travel sites, on the web, the search always starts from Eau Claire, whether I'm using Safari or Firefox.
Just makes for a couple of extra steps to correct on each occasion, but I want to go home.
What happened and how do I fix it? I checked 'date & time' under preferences and that has not changed.

Don't panic!

Just go back into the Date &Time pane and undo the Automatic location (your local ISP might have moved it's server that gave your Mac that information) and manually add your Location. So blame your ISP.

Good thought Satcomer. I just joined 'Clear' Wifi in my area as my broadband isp, but it didn't work. Unchecked auto in Date & Time, played around with location on map, still has me in Wisconsin. Also restarted after I changed D & T. Any other thoughts?
