What is the best way to connect the cinema display to the powerbook. It has three cords: usb, firewire, and the older connnection that I dont no the name of.

If it's an ADC connection, you'll need the DVI to ADC adapter ($99 from Apple). You might actually be better off selling the display and buying a newer one that has a DVI port on it. Go to the Apple Store online and type in DVI to ADC Display in the site search box to view it.

well, it wouldn't be ADC, adc is only one cable, i think the question is regarding the new cinema displays, which one do you use to plug it in to a powerbook so it works.

that "older-looking" cable is actually the latest display cable interface, DVI. plug that into your powerbook to make it work. the usb and firewire are just connectors for the hubs found on the back of the displays.
