My routers just died, so I need a way to transfer files between my osx tiger mac and windows xp laptop. Anyone know how to connect the two directly via an ethernet cable? Thanks!
Connect directly with ethernet cable, then set up IP address of each computer manually in ethernet/TCP/IP settings. For IP address, choose two adjacent numbers - 192.168.5.5 and 192.168.5.6, for example.
