I bought a new 2009 MacBook and I am trying to connect it to my old analog television. I have bought the mini DVI to VGA adapter cord from Apple and a VGA to TV converter (which I was told I needed to change the display from digital to analog). After everything was connected my computer acknowledged there was another display and was in "mirroring" mode, but I still did not have a picture on the television. I am not sure what I am doing wrong or right at this point -- this is my third or fourth attempt to make this happen.
