Connecting to Windows server

On an imac G5 running panther with all the latest updates installed trying to connect to Windows server. The office is connected to a windows server running macs with system 9.2 which connect via ethernet with no problems at all. Have made all the relevant settings exactly the same to macs running system 9.2. but had no luck connecting to server. I am not a networking guru and would appreciate a very simple guide on how to connect to the server. Cheers Bob
 
What are you doing to try and connect? If you go under the Go Menu and connect to server, are you using the server name or IP address? You could have a DNS issue not resolving the name, so then you could try just using the IP address. If the older macs are connecting I'm assuming you have mac sharing enabled on the server. What type of windows server? NT, 2000, 2003?
