connection resetting

Some of my connections reset or close regularly if I am not using them. I notice this with SSH connections through terminal or X11, as well as messenger connections (I use Yahoo messenger mostly).

I am connected through airport on my powerbook g4 to a Linksys wireless router.

Would someone help me to diagnose and adjust this behaviour?

I don't know how to help you, I just want to say I'm having the same problem and I'm on a Linksys too.
