Control click on desktop and finder probleme

Hello,
I just got a new Imac G5 and I have a small probleme.
When I control-click or right click insted of the drop menu coming down like it did the first 2 days it just makes everything on the desktop disapear for a split second then it comes back and opens finder. This also happens when I control-click/rightclick on the finder window. This doesn't happen to any other user on my computer just mine.
 
By chance is this one of the new Intel iMacs? First, congrats on taking the troubleshooting step of finding out that it is only affecting your user account. Since it seems like the Finder's quitting, check your ~/Library/Logs/Crashreporter folder and see if you can identify that the Finder is indeed quitting. Have you installed any software such as Toast or NAV or Stuffit that uses a contextual menu item? That's where I'd look first. BTW: if you want to use Mac HelpMate on the new Intel Macs, I tested it and it works just fine.
