Convert Video Files To Mpeg

Is there a software available online that converts video files such as AVI, WMV,QT, and RT TO MPEGS?

I am using an Imac G5 with an intel processor.

I know I'm being nitpicky here, but if you're iMac has an Intel CPU then it's not the iMac G5. The iMac G5 used a PowerPC 970 (aka "G5") processor. Although the iMac Core Duo and iMac Core 2 Duo share the same cosmetic design of the iMac G5, that's pretty much where the similarities end.

I stand corrected. It is a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo I-Mac not the power PC.

Now back to the original question...Is there a software available online that converts video files such as AVI, WMV,QT, and RT TO MPEGS?

QuickTime Pro plus the QuickTime plugins Perian, DivX Pro and for MPEG-2 the QuickTime MPEG-2 plugin.

QuickTime is an expandable application through plugins. Search for the formats on the web and you most likely will find a QuickTime plugin to handle it.

Also be always keep these program in mind: HandBrake, Mac the Ripper and ffmpegX.
