converting AIF to MP3?

I'm looking for a freeware/shareware app for OSX that can convert AIF sound files to MP3. anyone have any suggestions?

iTunes'll do the job.

In iTunes, open up your preferences. Under the Importing tab, set the MP3 settings you want. Then go to the Advanced menu and select Convert to MP3.
