I bought a canon DV100 and made 3 DVD which I want to copy so I can download into my imac and edit. There is no firewire connection and the computer will not allow me to copy it. Is there a way I can copy the dvd to a cd so I can possible import it into imovies and edit it?

you can rip it to a movie file. Use a program called handbrake. I think quicktime works better with mp4, so stick with that when you rip it.
