have you got any ideas whats going on here please
I have on lacie all my picts folders ok
I copy one of the folders to lacie ok
i then add some files to that folder on mac
I then drag copy that folder to lacie hoping for up dated copy
Get the dialog it exists do you want to replace YES
When i then look at lacie all hell has broken loose its up dated the files in the appropriate folder but it has also replaced the icons of all the other existing folders with the picts from the folder im backing up and the folders look empty.
i then eject and switch off lacie switch on again open up and it then all looks correct with just the back up with extra files in appropriate folder and all icons back to normal.
Its a bit worrying and gives me no confidence to do back ups.
I want to be able to copy across all the folders and let it up date picts in the appropriate folders.
I did try running Finder cleaner on the folder i wanted to up date back up and that worked fine . Guess something to do with res forks ?
