We just got a new windows server, replacing an SGI IRIX based server from 1998. When we try and copy our data over, about 80 GB, we keep getting invalid files name errors.
I tried copying from the SGI to windows, but all the file types got lost and we can not open any of our files. Going into the file one by one is not option with this many files.
Anyone know of any tools that will allow to me copy these files to a windows computer and fix the file names that are not compatiable with windows.
The server is running windows server 2003 and we have all new OSX 10.3 and some older 9.2 machines.
