Hi:
Seems I am not the only one with this issue but I can't find a cure.
I have a G5 and it has periodically panicked and left me the lovely strings of info to the left side of my screen beginning with (more or less) corrupt skip list in bold. Yes, my fan does, sometimes, run high when it occurs, but not always. Sometimes it happens after PhotoShop, Mail, or iMovie has quit on my once or twice and I don't restart. Or, sometimes it just does it with no warning. Either way, it is usually just as I am about to save something profound I have written or created. (Okay, that may be a fish tale.)
This has been going on with my mac since I got it three (ish) years ago.
I did try changing the processor performance to reduced, but it is still doing it. (I read about this fix, not repair, when I did a google search. Can't remember where.)
What's it all about? Why does it happen sometimes more and sometimes less? Why can't I find more info on it online?
About my mac: I am running 10.5.2, have a duel 1.8 ghz PPC G5 with 2 bg of sdram. I have an 80 gb hd and am using approx 53 of it.
