Couldn't Boot From Tiger 10.4 Dvd

I tried 2 DVD burners in case one was faulty. Jumpers were on Master then Cable Select. I was pressing C when it was booting up. Anything else I should have done? Is there a special Tiger boot disk (CD)? I got it loaded by using the 4 CD Tiger set which it recognized fine.
 
No, basically the original DVD should simply boot from any officially supported DVD drive (whether DVD-RW, DVD-ROM or Combo Drive shouldn't matter).
