crazy color problems.

boi

official breaker of macs.
okay, in photoshop, i create an image. it's medium dark. i save it and view it in in a web page on my computer and it's much lighter than the image i made. furthermore, i go to a PC and view the image, and it's crazy dark. wayyy too dark.
what's going on? i thought macs were supposed to be good at this ^_^.

If you're using Internet Explorer on your Mac, there's an option in the Web Content section of Preferences to use ColorSync. You might want to try turning that on/off as necessary and see what happens. As for the PC, Windows uses a much darker gamma correction. As a result, most graphics will look dark and crummy. If you need the best of both worlds, try making the image just as light as is acceptable with your Mac, and hopefully it will still look okay in Windows.

man, what a bummer. that's not the answer i was hoping for. ah well. thanks for your help ^_^.
