creating multiple css selectors for links

Hi, I'm going crazy... I would like to how to create a different css selector on a page. I want the links to be a diiferent size and color. Eveytime I create a new css style, it changes the old one. I also tried to attach a different style sheet but it still changes the old one. All I want is a new link, visited, hover-
any solutions?

Here is an example- I would like LINKS and ROAD to be a different css style than the navbar.

Just looking at the source there gave me a headache. So I rewrote it to be proper XHTML.

Main.html has alot of 'content', forcing it to scroll. Main2.html shows how it reacts when there's not enough content to require scrolling. It could also be chanced to just allow it to grow in height if wanted.

The links for 'road' and 'links' are different than the nav bar.
